Ljubljana, 17 October - A public debate on proposed constitutional changes to referendum provisions, which was held in parliament on Wednesday, heard warnings from civil society groups that stricter rules could undermine democracy. Far-reaching changes got little support, while some attention was given to a proposal for a rejective referendum model.
