Coalition Tables Changes Restraining Right to Referendum

Ljubljana, 26 October - The coalition has drafted changes to the referendum act, under which launching referendum procedures would become considerably harder. The draft changes were sent to parliament on Friday. If passed, the threshold of 2,500 signatures needed to request the launch of referendum procedure would be raised to 5,000 verified signatures.
