PM Says Referendum on Budget First Ever in History

Brussels, 13 December - Prime Minister Janez Janša told reporters as he arrived for an EU summit in Brussels on Thursday that Slovenia was the first country ever to have its budget laws blocked by a referendum initiative. He warned that bad bank referendum could prove fatal for Slovenia.
