Fmr. Merkur Boss Faces Jail Time as Sentence Upheld on Appeal

Ljubljana, 10 June - Bine Kordež, the former boss of hardware chain Merkur, will spend six years and five months in jail for his role in a EUR 9m defrauding of Merkur after the Ljubljana Higher Court not only upheld the District Court sentence but increased it by a year and five months based on the prosecution's appeal, Delo reports on Monday.
