Massive Relief Effort Continues, Many Fear Floods

Ljubljana, 8 February - The ice storm, which has enveloped most of the country for the past week, leaving hundreds of thousands without power and paralysing some of the vital rail links, is slowly loosening its grip, as temperatures have climbed above the freezing point. While a massive relief effort continues, many fear that the incoming rain and thaw will cause floods.
