Ljubljana, 1 May - Ten years to the day, Slovenia joined the EU, achieving one of its main foreign policy goals set at the time when it was seeking independence from the former Yugoslavia. Much has changed since 1 May 2004, however, as the once model EU candidate country has been struggling for years to overcome the economic crisis.
