Govt puts forward Vesel for commissioner

Ljubljana, 26 July - The government put forward former Court of Audit president Tomaž Vesel for the Slovenian commissioner for the next five years on Friday. Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has asked member states to put forward a male and a female candidate, but Prime Minister Robert Golob insisted Vesel was the only candidate.
