Some Familiar Faces Make it to Parliament But Only 29% of Current MPs

Ljubljana, 14 July - While imprisoned Democrat (SDS) leader Janez Janša stands out among those elected to parliament in Sunday's election, the vote gave a fresh or first chance in the National Assembly to a number of familiar faces. The new lineup will include only 26 of the 90 MPs serving in the current term. 32 women were elected, four more than in 2011.
