Court Drops Tax Fraud Case Against Koper Mayor

Koper, 22 December - The Koper District Court has dropped a tax case against Koper Mayor Boris Popovič, as legislative changes were passed during the lengthy appeal procedure in the case, the daily Primorske novice reported. He was accused of tax fraud amounting to nearly EUR 12,000, which is no longer a criminal offence under the most recent changes to the penal code.
