Cross-party consensus for expanding army powers
Ljubljana, 20 October - A broad cross-party consensus emerged in Slovenia on Tuesday to temporarily expand the army's powers to help the police protect the border in the face of a surging wave of refugees. Corresponding legislation is expected to be passed in parliament as early as today so it could step into force on Wednesday.
