Election law changes defeated

Ljubljana, 30 November - Legislative changes that would have prevented convicted criminals from running for office were defeated at the parliamentary Interior Policy committee Wednesday and will be shelved as the coalition failed to get the opposition on board for the requisite two-thirds majority.
