Record number of bird flue cases reported, warm weather good sign

Ljubljana, 21 February - A total of 153 cases of avian influenza or bird flue have been confirmed in Slovenia since the virus was discovered in the north-east of the country at the start of the year. While this is more than three times as much as during the 2006 breakout, experts hope the situation will calm down with the onset of warmer weather.
