PEN Peace Committee condemns violence against Catalans

Ljubljana, 3 October - The Ljubljana-based PEN International Writers for Peace Committee has expressed deep concern over the events that "tainted the expression of democratic will of the people" in Sunday's referendum on the independence of Catalonia. The writers condemned the violence of the Spanish state against the Catalan people, calling it a disgrace for the EU.
