PM Cerar indicates govt to grant residence permit to Syrian refugee

Ljubljana, 14 November - Prime Minister Miro Cerar has announced that the government would discuss granting Syrian refugee Ahmad Shamieh, whose case made headlines in recent days, a temporary residence permit. Shamieh will thus not be deported to Croatia today as planned by the Interior Ministry, which Cerar stressed had no option but to follow the law.
