The Slovenian banking system is stable and resilient to shocks, show stress tests conducted by the country's central bank independently and as part of the European Central Bank (ECB). The macro stress test has shown capital stability, and a cybersecurity stress test at ECB level has shown no major negative impact from a potential cyberattack.

Govt puts forward Vesel for EU commissioner

Govt puts forward Vesel for commissioner

The government put forward former Court of Audit president Tomaž Vesel for the Slovenian commissioner for the next five years on Friday. Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has asked member states to put forward a male and a female candidate, but Prime Minister Robert Golob insisted Vesel was the only candidate.
