Minister says Slovenia likely to withdraw from Energy Charter Treaty

Luxembourg, 25 October - Slovenia will likely withdraw from the Energy Charter Treaty, Infrastructure Minister Bojan Kumer said on the sidelines of a ministerial of EU energy ministers in Luxembourg. The agreement no longer serves its purpose, he noted. The treaty is an international accord designed to protect foreign energy investments, including fossil fuel projects.
