Đorđević's bid for Supreme Court president passes first hurdle in parliament

Ljubljana, 19 January - The parliamentary Credentials and Privileges Commission backed on Thursday Miodrag Đorđević's candidacy for Supreme Court president before it is put to a vote at next week's plenary session. Justice Minister Dominika Švarc Pipan meanwhile announced new legislation to exclude parliament from appointment procedures regarding Supreme Court judges.
