Judiciary critical of proposed expansion of Judicial Council

Ljubljana, 21 November - Representatives of the judiciary are critical of proposed constitutional amendments. While they do not oppose the transfer of appointments from the National Assembly to the president, they object to the expansion of the Judicial Council and a new method of appointment of members, which they believe would politicise it.
