MPs pass cannabis referendum motion

Ljubljana, 18 April - The National Assembly decided late on Wednesday to call a referendum on the use of cannabis for medical use and restricted personal use. The motion was passed with 42 votes in favour, provided by the coalition Freedom Movement and the Left. The third coalition partner, the Social Democrats, abstained, and the opposition obstructed the vote.
