Papers hail national football team after round of 16 exit

Ljubljana, 3 July - The newspapers Dnevnik and Večer hail the Slovenian football team after it made it to the knock-out stake at a major tournament for the first time in history at Euro 2024 and lost to the heavily favoured Portugal only after a penalty shoot-out. They say that this bodes well for the future of the team.
