Parliamentary Speakers Call for a Fair Deal in Copenhagen

Brussels, 26 November - A successful completion of the EU accession negotiations at the Copenhagen summit was called upon in a joint statement adopted by President of the European Parliament Pat Cox and EU candidate countries' parliament speakers, including Slovenia's Borut Pahor, at their meeting on Tuesday. The final deal must reflect a fair distribution of rights and obligations among the current and future EU members, the legislators agreed.
