Independent Candidates Preferred Choice of Voters

Ljubljana, 2 December - Following the second round of local elections, all municipalities now finally have a mayor. The majority of them - 61 out of 193 - were independent candidates, running only with the support of the voters. The second largest group are the mayors backed by the People's Party (SLS) with 46 representatives, while Liberal Democrats (LDS) chair 29 municipalities.
