European Parties Welcome Outcome of Slovenia's EU and NATO Referendums

Brussels, 24 March - The parties of the European Parliament on Monday welcomed the success of the referendums on Slovenia's accession to the EU and NATO, held on Sunday. The leading EU party, the European People's Party (EPP), saw the outcome as extremely positive, while its leader Hans-Gert Poettering stressed that such high support means high expectations of Slovenians about security, politics and economy.
