EU/NATO Vote: National Election Commission Counts Votes from Abroad

Ljubljana, 28 March - After Sunday's referendums on Slovenia's accession to the EU and NATO, the National Election Commission counted the votes that have been cast at 35 diplomatic missions and consular offices abroad and those that have been sent by mail. 2,275 ballots have been cast this way, with 97.53 percent backing the EU accession and 76.71 percent supporting Slovenia's membership in NATO. Official results of the two referendums are to be released on Tuesday, 1 April.
