Peterle Wants to Be President of All Citizens

Ljubljana, 3 November - Member of the European Parliament Alojz Peterle (EPP/NSi) has officially announced his candidacy for the 2007 presidential poll. Slovenia needs a president who understands globalisation, who is sensitive to the problems of minorities and who is interested in the status of Slovenian culture at home and abroad, Peterle told the press on Friday.
