Retired Communist Activist Enters Presidential Race

Ljubljana, 8 August - Pavel Premrl, a former member of the League of Communists and the former head of the union of the unemployed and socially disadvantaged, announced his independent candidacy for president on Wednesday. Premrl, potential candidate No. 11, wants to build his campaign on the conviction that the Slovenian economy and property should remain in the hands of Slovenians.
