Election Campaign Begins A Month Before Presidential Election

Ljubljana, 21 September - Official campaigning starts on Friday, exactly one month ahead of the fourth presidential election in independent Slovenia. Almost 1,7 million voters will choose a new president who will replace Janez Drnovsek, whose term in office ends in late December. If a run-off is required, it will take place on 11 November.
