Foreign Ministry Upholds Peterle's Claims against Tuerk

Ljubljana, 6 November - The Foreign Ministry on Tuesday responded to the exchange between the presidential candidates over their role in the 1990s independence efforts, confirming the claim made by Lojze Peterle that his opponent Danilo Tuerk represented Yugoslavia on the UN Human Rights Commission in 1991. Tuerk expressed disappointment over the claims and labelled them as completely false.
