President Reflects on Two Decades of Slovenia's Independence

Ljubljana, 22 December - Slovenians acquired independence with their own effort and sacrifice, President Danilo Tuerk said as he addressed the press on Wednesday ahead of Independence and Unity Day, 26 December, when Slovenia will celebrate two decades since its people decided in a referendum that they wanted to break away from Yugoslavia.
