MPs Petition Top Court to Throw Out Unions' Referendum Initiative

Ljubljana, 21 December - The National Assembly decided Friday to petition the Constitutional Court to throw out the public sector trade unions' referendum request targeting the budget implementation law. Coalition lawmakers, who called the vote, maintained that the referendum could throw the entire country into a budgetary deadlock.
