Govt moves to give army border control powers as Austria limits arrivals

Ljubljana, 17 February - The Slovenian government has filed a proposal in parliament to give the army limited police powers in patrolling the border in line with legislative changes passed last October, Defence Minister Andreja Katič has confirmed. The country intends to follow Austria's lead in limiting daily arrivals.
