CoE human rights commissioner insists new aliens act lacks sufficient safeguards

Strasbourg/Brussels, 27 January - Nils Muižnieks, the Council of Europe commissioner for human rights, remains concerned that the amendments to the aliens act passed on Thursday violate Slovenia's international human rights obligations, despite the latest tweaks. Meanwhile, Brussels would not yet comment on the new law.
