Efforts under way to completely shut Western Balkan route, ministry says
Vienna, 8 February - Defence and interior ministers meeting in Vienna today agreed that the migration situation on the Western Balkan route has significantly improved since 2015 but noted that the route had not been completely shut yet, Interior Ministry said in a press release. Countries are to prepare a contingency plan by April.
