Thirty years after surgery of patient, ECHR sides with Slovenian brain surgeon

Strasbourg, 20 October - The European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) has agreed with Slovenian brain surgeon Vinko Dolenc that his right to fair trial was violated when Slovenian courts agreed with an Israeli court ruling that ordered Dolenc in the 2010s to pay his Israeli patient EUR 2.3 million in damages for a disability he suffered after a surgery in 1992.
