Central bank increases countercyclical capital buffer

Ljubljana, 22 December - A year after first activating a countercyclical capital buffer for commercial banks at 0.5% of total risk exposure on the domestic market, the central bank has decided to double the buffer to 1% as of 1 January to better manage risk and "preserve the resilience of the Slovenian banking system".
