Train promotes Nova Gorica as European Culture Capital
Nova Gorica, 11 January - A train connecting Nova Gorica in the west and Jesenice in the north through Most na Soči will promote the upcoming stint of Nova Gorica as the European Culture Capital, as one of its cars in the colour of the emerald Soča River will feature a design promoting the project and green mobility.

The railroad car was painted by the Slovenian Railways and the public institution GO! 2025 - EPK ahead of the project that Nova Gorica and Italy's Gorizia will carry out in 2025.
According to Nova Gorica Mayor Samo Turel, the car promotes sustainable mobility and the events that the two cities will host next year and also sends the message that "culture and art can think outside the box and can pick new and innovative venues for its performances".
The Nova Gorica railway station, which will undergo a major renovation in the coming months, will be a key venue of European Culture Capital events. Since the project will also promote green practices, the organisers hope many visitors will arrive by train.
