Run-Offs Needed to Decide Mayors in Slovenia's Largest Cities

Ljubljana, 11 November - The run-off between presidential candidates Barbara Brezigar and Janez Drnovsek is not the only one needed in three weeks' time, as many races for the mayor across Slovenia look like they will not be decided in the first round. Early unofficial results from the National Election Commission indicate that there will be no outright victory in the two largest Slovenian cities, Ljubljana and Maribor.
