Local Elections: Run-Offs Needed in Maribor and Nova Gorica

Maribor/Nova Gorica/Slovenj Gradec, 11 November - Before new mayors are appointed in Maribor and Nova Gorica, voters will have to go to the polls once again. Boris Sovic and Milan Petek will embark on a head-to-head race in Maribor, while Nova Gorica will see a runoff between Crtomir Spacapan and Mirko Brulc. Everything has been decided in Slovenj Gradec, where Matjaz Zanoskar came above 50 percent in the first round.
