Official Confirmation: Drnovsek Wins First Round, to Face Brezigar in Run-Off

Ljubljana, 25 November - The National Election Commission released on Monday the official results from the first round of Slovenia's presidential elections, confirming what everybody has known for two weeks. The winner of the popular ballot was incumbent PM Janez Drnovsek, who failed to secure an outright majority and will thus face off against challenger Barbara Brezigar in the presidential run-off on 1 December.
