Representatives of Local Interests Elected to National Council

Ljubljana, 27 November - Wednesday's indirect elections to the National Council had a surprising outcome, as the electors failed to re-elect Tone Hrovat, the incumbent president of the upper chamber of the Slovenian parliament. 22 new councilors were elected today to represent interests of local communities for the next five years, while 18 more are to be chosen on Thursday.
