Rop Also Supported by SLS and DeSUS, While Opposed by the Opposition

Ljubljana, 6 December - As President Milan Kucan on Friday continued consultations with deputy groups on appointing the new prime minister designate, two other junior coalition partners, namely SLS and DeSUS, and the Italian minority MP voiced their support for the proposal of the senior coalition partner LDS that the incumbent Finance Minister Anton Rop is to become new head of the government. Opposition NSi, SNS and SMS were meanwhile against his appointment.
