Gov't Launches Pre-Referendum Campaign for NATO

Ljubljana, 4 February - Aside from voting for or against EU integration, the Slovenian voters will have a chance on 23 March to voice their opinion on Slovenia's accession to NATO as well. The government's pre-referendum campaign has just kicked off with public debates aiming at convincing the Slovenian people - who seem to be much less favourable to NATO than to the EU, according to opinion polls - about the advantages of being a NATO member.
